Fraser Island and Lady Elliot

Clients of mine have recently returned from Fraser Island and Lady Elliot, and had some wonderful feedback on the tour that I thought I would share with you all.

“Thought that I would just write and say what a great time we had ….. well, apart from our plane from Sydney to Hervey Bay being hit by lightening on the Friday at the start of our holiday!! Still, that’s another story.

Everything went absolutely according to plan and, in one case, even better. Lady Elliot is a little dream place with no tv, mobile coverage and nothing to do but relax, walk around across and around the island (about 40 mins all round), snorkel (we swam with so many varieties of fish and manta rays and turtles), eat (even had some vegetarian options) and drink (champagne at sunset by the light house is particularly recommended). The upgraded villa was definitely worth the extra as it was right on the beach overlooking the reef and sunrises. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Our flight to the island was only half full and on our return there were only Scott, myself and one other passenger – quite like having our own plane

The couple of days of Fraser Island were also very very good with a special mention to our great driver/guide, Richard of the Fraser Island Company, who was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He even managed to find me a vegetarian lasagne for dinner that night as the rest had bbq’d fish and meat, and he also arranged for us to go up for a 15-min flight over the island with some local planes who operate from the beach. Go Richard!! Again, the upgrade was excellent and we could have stayed longer. Funnily enough, we were the only two Aussies on this two-day tour with everyone else coming from Brazil, France, Germany, Switzerland or Spain.

So, we had a really lovely relaxing time without having to worry about one of the arrangements, so thank you ….” (NSW)
